OMFGCO is a fast-paced, constantly-evolving, multidisciplinary studio, looking for a well-organized go-getter who knows how to work the social circuit. A dabbler in graphic design, motion, photography, and copywriting will thrive in this role. As the resident Social Media Intern, you'll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our social media strategy while developing skills in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing—all while gaining invaluable studio experience along the way. We work as a collective and believe that there are no small jobs. Each of our job descriptions share one common thread: make the lives of those around us easier.
This is a creative support role reporting directly to the team Art Directors and working in collaboration with the whole team, including: Producers, CDs, Designers, and Admins. Weekly check-ins will be scheduled with supervising Art Directors.
Requirements
- A strong interest and understanding of social media platforms and trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for creative writing
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) with an eye for design and detail
- Passionate about branding, design, and creative industries
- Embraces and enjoys collaboration
- Self-starter with an openness to feedback and the ability to take direction
- Must have a computer, Adobe Creative Cloud All-Apps, and dependable wifi (exceptions made for hardship)
- Must be available for at least 4 months at 20-29 hours per week (29 hours max)
- Must be eager to roll up sleeves, get dirty, and take on any task with pride
- Must arrive to meetings on time
- Bonus: demonstrates experience with motion or Figma!
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content across all of our social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok, maybe.
- Monitor social media trends and recommend strategies to increase engagement and followers.
- Collaborate with our design team to create visually appealing graphics and videos for social media posts.
- Engage with our community by responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Surprise us! We're looking for conceptual thinkers that can contribute fresh and inspiring ideas.
- Challenge the status quo. (i.e. if you have a different idea about something, try it out and share it)
- Support all studio members with little odds and ends, including client work and internal projects.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
- Work to improve everyday, and be a pleasure to work with.
